Adage from the Trees

The mystic tree bends and weaves
a golden light between the leaves…

and from this light
was heard to say,

O humans, you like we one day
will fall to earth and fade away.

“We shed our leaves
and you your skin,
what changes not is deep within.

“And we who are will ever be
the ever present energy.”

"Adage from the Trees" is a segment from a larger show,

inspired to be posted at this time by the imminent death of a friend from a 20 year fight with cancer.

It uses nature photos and a metaphor of the life cycle of trees
